SWP project

This is my another project,simple, but hard to do it...all the calculation still in research...

APE ITU SWP?(solar water pump)

Photovoltaic (PV) system is the field of technology and research related to the application of solar cells for energy by converting solar energy (sunlight, including ultra violet radiation) directly into electricity. A photovoltaic cell (PV cell or also called as solar cell) is a semiconductor device that converts the light directly into electricity by the photovoltaic effect.

A solar powered water pumping system is made up of two basic components: PV panels and pumps. Conventional pumps require the steady AC voltage that utility lines or generators supply. PV cell pumps utilize the DC electric power that PV modules produce. They are designed to work effectively during low light conditions, at reduced DC voltage, without stalling or overheating.

Many solar pumping systems use “positive displacement” pumps which seal water in cavities and force it upward, thus maintaining their lift capacity even while pumping at slower rates. This differs from conventional “centrifugal” type pumps, which spin and “blow” the water up, and whose efficiency typically drops off at reduced speeds. Some solar pumps are fully submersible and some are non-submersible, designed to-push water uphill or to supply pressure. All are designed to utilize solar power most efficiently. A “controller” which acts like an automatic transmission is included with most solar pumps to allow the pump to start and run in weak sunlight.

In this project, PV cell technology will be introduced into water pump for irrigation. Besides, the knowledge in this field have been studied and applied inside the project. Furthermore, a portable PV cell water pump will be designed to make it move and connect easily to another place.

Biasanya petani kat Malaysia ne gune pam petrol untuk pam air dari air sungai ke tanaman mereka .Petani untuk skala kecil akan siram pokok2 tym tengahari,2 kali sehari,minyak petrol yang digunakan besamaan dengan 1.5 liter sehari.sekarang ne harge petrol seliter =RM1.80... kalo seminggu, rm 18.90..sebulan rm 75.6..kalo setaun 907.2..abeh wit kat petrol je..pam petrol kena ada maintenance cost.. lagi satu pam petrol mesti ad combustion..release carbon monoxide..tak green produk..berikut senarai problem farmer:

Ø Raising price of diesel and petroleum which act as fuel for motor.

Ø Higher maintenance burden farm owner.

Ø Electricity cost higher which supply older pumping system.

Ø Water supply cost higher.

-gune solar pump, dimana tak payah pkai petrol.pakai sel suria untuk generate DC..lepas tu store energy kat battery..tenaga ne kemudian akan di supply kat motor utk pam...environment friendly, tak bising.. -walaubagaimanapun...aku dan group aku cube menyelesaikan masalah orang laen..tapi kami sendiri pon ad masalah ngan bajet:P....kompem lebih dari rm 2000...ati ku mengatakan..bolehkah solar panel 50W spin centrifugal pump??kalo plunger pump bole k la kot...
